THE BOOKS:
So far the series is great! I love the books but I seriously hate Bella...what a baby! She gives women a bad name (IMHO) by making us seem clingy and desperate and unable to function without a man. Omg grow a backbone! I understand that love is love, but you don't see the guy/s acting like THAT (sorry if I offend Bella fans, it's just that her damsel in distress act doesn't appeal to me at all).

NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!!!! I've only read the first two, Twilight and New Moon (both in just a few days; I only finished New Moon last night), so don't mention a word about anything past those two! I'm not sure which one I liked better; I find New Moon had a better story, but it also dragged in some parts.

THE MOVIE:
I don't understand the fuss about Robert Pattinson (Cedric in the Potter movies) being "not good enough" for Edward. I find him pretty hot, and importantly, very vampire-esque! Obviously his face isn't perfect, but no actor in reality will every satisfy EVERYONE'S opinions on how Edward is supposed to look like! Besides, Edward is described as "beautiful" and NEVER "hot" or even "handsome," which implies that his attractiveness comes from being a vampire, and not necessarily from his facial features. Does what I am saying make sense? Basically, he is described as unnaturally beautiful and godlike because the narrator is human, and part of a vampire's predatory characteristics is being attractive to their prey.

And that is my rant for now. Who else is pissed off that the paperback and hardcover editions are 100% IDENTICAL in size and layout, from page dimensions to each single word per page number, and yet the hardcover edition is literally priced 2x more just for having a cardboard cover? And Eclipse has been out for a year, why isn't the paperback out yet?
