for the contest, "Disney Dreaming." draw wat you, well...dream.

my first official disney fanart on devart! MAN did i have a hard time on this! not the drawing-the-princeses part (that was okay; it was mostly just copying and coloring), but in the background! im soooo not used to doing soft, sweet, light-colored bgs! the original bg i made was all bold and solid (like my usual bgs), to which my roommate commented, "omg, that looks more like a disney VILLAIN background!" and i was like, "dammit, thats cuz im so used to doing harry potter!"

yeah...i still dont love it (its too soft and flowery for my tastes), but eh, disney princesses are disney princesses, and we cant have my original swirly deep purple bg for that now can we? i guess its a matter of taste now. i hope the voters like the soft magical look! (crosses fingers). i really want to win this one, the prize is a 1-yr sub in DA! maybe il do villains if i still have time (HAHAHA). it should be a bit easier as dark and bold are more up my alley.
